Round 7: Tonbridge Juddians v Albion

Albion continue their season with a trip to Kent where they will take on Tonbridge Juddians.
The TJs, lying in 8th, have returned to National League 1 after 2 seasons in National League 2 East and are currently the pick of the Promoted sides. Whilst not having consistent results, the TJs have got 3 wins to their name, with the most notable result being a 31-17 defeat of Birmingham Moseley. Their losses have all come against teams within the top 5. In their previous visit to the league, Albion were one of the 5 sides to fall to Tonbridge.
Albion will want to maximise their points haul in order to keep within the chasing pack.
Not unsurprisingly, Albion come out on top when comparing head to head, although it should be noted that Albion have started with a considerably easier run. TJs attacking strengths come from the backs, particularly at scrum half. however this is also their defensive weakness, especially beyond the fly-half position. Consequently, Albion have options to retain the ball within the pack or open it up by sending it wide. A strong defensive line should nullify the TJs attack but they will need to guard against the scrum half sneaking around the pack.
The referee for the game is slated to be Callum Watson who is currently the most punitive referee in the League averaging 2.5 cards a game. Both Albion and TJs have encountered Mr Watson during this campaign, with 3 yellows shown to Albion's opposition (Clifton) and 2 to TJ during their visit to Rams.
Player to watch = Scrum Half Connor Lloyd - 5 tries this season including a hat-trick against Birmingham Moseley.
Weather - Sunny, but a little bit on the cool side with a Gentle breeze blowing down the length of the pitch from the clubhouse end.
Prediction: A test of whether Albion belong at the top end of the league. Should be a solid win for Albion, but if results to date are flattering, it will go down to the wire.
Other games of note:Rosslyn Park v Sedgley Park - 2nd vs 7th. RP look a little too strong, but the Tigers need the result to stay in touch with the leading pack.
