Vaughan makes promising return

Michael Vaughan made a promising return to cricket by hitting 67 for Yorkshire against Scotland. This was Vaughan's first competitive cricket since playing for England in an Indian tour match over 3 months ago.

He will be hoping this performance will quash rumors that he is about to quit first-class cricket due to the worrying amount of knee surgery he has needed since guiding England to Ashes victory last summer. Even more impressively, Vaughan hit is 67 at exactly a run a ball, and reached his half-century in just 53 balls. This performance, however, has come too late for Vaughan to be included in the squad for the 3rd Test against Sri Lanka, starting on Friday, where Andrew Flintoff will continue as captain.
