Brighton and Hove Albion 3 - Bradford City 2
Brighton win only their second match of the season today with two penalties from Bobby Zamora and a goal from Paul Rodgers.
However the victory is not a sweet as it might have been, as keeper Michel Kuipers was sent off in the 89th minute, allowing Bradford to claim another back with a penalty.
Finally bringing Brighton above the 4 points that Hinshelwood managed to claim for the team, it is now theoretically possible for Brighton to leap out of the relegation zone, should they score 4 goals in the 2 games they have in hand over Sheffield and Grimsby, winning both.
Third time lucky for Steve Coppell, this result will place hope in the minds of all the Brighton fans who thought they may have been facing relegation back to the Second Division they won last year.
