Brighton hold leaders

Brighton held Division one leaders Portsmouth, to a one all draw at the Withdean stadium. Bobbby Zamora gave Brighton the lead but Svestoslav Todorov equalized for Portsmouth

Brighton were the brighter side in a goal less first half. Then in the 54th minute Paul Brooker slipped the ball through to Zamora who held of two tackles and put the ball past Hislop.

Ten minutes later Svestoslav Todorov turned on the edge of the box to score an equalizer for the leaders. But Brighten held on for a fine draw and closed the gap on Sheffield Wednesday.
