Ronnie: We didn't convert any of them

Ronnie Jepson has said that the reason for Gills' defeat was that 'We didn't convert any of them'. The Gills had many chances in front of goal but just couldn't convert all of the chances. McDonald and Jarvis were Gills' main threat in front of goal, but just couldn't find the net.

Jake Robinson won the game controversially for the Seagulls after 67 minutes, but despite all of Gills' chances, they just couldn't find the net.

McDonald and Jarvis both missed very good chances, but it was Mulligan who was guilty of missing the easiest chance of them all.

After the game Ronnie said, " "We created by far the better chances and are disappointed we didn't convert any of them."

"Brighton may have had more possession in the second half, but it was a pretty good performance from us. The thing was that we didn't convert our chances and they scored a goal."

Gillingham play Bradford in their next fixture hoping to improve on their finishing. Gillingham didn't win an away fixture until January last season against Swansea, and the Gills shall be hoping to get their first a lot earlier - preferably against Bradford this Saturday.
