Jepson in talks with two players

Ronnie Jepson has reavealed how he is in talks with two possible signings. Jepson revealed in the weekly news conference that he is in for two new signings from the Premiership and the Championship.

He told the media at Thursday's weekly news conference,"We have had a few things going on and are talking about loans. Hopefully by this time tomorrow, we will have a goalkeeper from a Premiership club in place. He will give Kelvin Jack a bit of competition as he had a bang on his knee again last week at Bradford.


"I'm also having a look at a Striker at this moment in time. He's from a Championship club, has played there for a few seasons and knows what it's all about. There are one or two obstacles to clear but hopefully I will know more later today."

Jepson at present only has Jack to chose from in goal, who hasn't been fully fit since the World Cup. He also picked up a knock at Valley Parade which made him make Jupp take the goalkicks. The Gills were without a goalkeeper since Paul Crichton left before Jack signed in the summer. THe Gills had been linked with Northampton's Lee Harper, but now it looks like Jepson shall try and get one from the top flight.
