Gillingham have completed the signing of Chalton's young stopper Darren Randolph on a one month loan deal from Premiership outfit Charlton Athletic.

It was said that he would sign on a three month loan deal, but Randolph has instead penned a one month loan deal to provide competition for Kelvin Jack.

Kelvin Jack picked up a knock against Bradford on Saturday, and couldn't take the goalkicks so todays signing shall be a relief to Ronnie Jepson.

Speaking about the then possible loan yesterday, Jepson said, "I'm trying to do a deal to keep him here for three months."

Randolph had an impresive loan spell at Accrington Staneley, and was a key part of their promotion to the Football League. He made 14 appearences conceding 17 goals, but Accrington did win 10 of the 14 game Randolph played.

After his loan spell he returned to the Addicks to make the bench at Man UTD and Newcastle. He also signed a two year deal with Gillingham's south east rivals.

Any more signings shall be covered by GFC-Online.
