Gillingham boss Ronnie Jepson speaks of his new loan signing from Charlton. Darren Randolph signed earlier today on a one-month loan deal and Jepson is excited by the oung Addick.

Speaking to Gillingham's official club site, Ronnie said, "He's played competitive football, he's played in Charlton's reserves a lot, and has had good tuition down there with the coaches and everybody I've spoken to speak very highly of him, not just on the pitch but off the pitch he's a smashing lad as well, and he has a good presence, good size, so, like I said, hopefully he'll do well for us.

"He was out on loan last year at Accrington Stanley, I saw a couple of those games up there and he's a decent 'keeper, good presence, very well thought of at Charlton Athletic by the manager Ian Dowie, and it was good of Ian to let him come out and give us a lift here at Gillingham.

"I've been onto this one for a couple of weeks, but I've been patient and waited a little bit until Charlton had one or two things in place, but Ian gave me his word, and he's let the lad come and I'm sure he'll be a good addition to us," said Jepson.
