Well deadline day is here and Ronnie Jepson has just one day to bring in fresh talent to Priestfield. GFC-ONLINE brings you all of the transfer rumours and also talk about possible signings and departures.
At the moment the Gills have just twenty players on the books and Jepson is desperate to add more depth to the squad. But the financial situation is preventing Jepson from bringing in his targets, or other clubs are offering money that Jepson simply cannot compete with.
TRANSFER RUMOURS
Gillingham's young Welsh startlet Andrew Crofts has been linked with a move to Stoke City or Crystal Palace. There were also rumours that Tommy Black would be involved in a swap move for the young Gills star, with Black impressing during his loan spell with the Gills towards the end of last season.
Alan Pouton was also linked with a move back to Grimsby, but thast move was denied by Grimsby. Pouton has also started to impress Jepson enough to earn a starting place.
Matt Jarvis has impressed many Championship managers after his performances so far. Jarvis scored on the opening day and has performed outstandingly so far.
POSSIBLE TARGETS
Gifton Noel-Williams was on the verge of signing for the Gills before pulling out after Burnley demanded the Gills to pay 100% of his wages what was to much for Gills. Jepson may try again and hope that his former club will let the striker go on loan to the Gills for free. Cyd Gray is also a possible target, he has recently had an unsucessfull trial with Yeovil, but may become the Gills' fourth Trinidad & Tobago international.
Any signings today shall be covered by GFC-ONLINE...
