Gillingham go in search of their fourth consecutive victory this weekend as they travel to Oldham. The Gills go into the game off of three impressive performances with three impressive results. The Gills could even make third place this weekend if results go their way.

The Gills beat Doncaster Rovers in their last away day having gone two goals up before the half-time interval. Gills fans had to wait until the first game of this year to grab their first away win this season, but having pinched all three points at Belle Vue, the Gills should go into the game with bags of confidence.

Gillingham Team News:

Brent Sancho shall miss the game having been ruled out for six weeks last week. Gary Mulligan has missed training this week having got six studs to the chest in the defeat of Swansea last Saturday. Ian Cox picked up a hamstring injury and has also missed training, not helped by him wanting to stay on to go for his hat-trick against Saturday.

Dean McDonald looks set to replace Gary Mulligan upfront having returned to full match fitness.

Gills Man To Watch: Matt Jarvis - The young pacey midfielder has caused havoc for oposition defences so far this season and looks set to continue that after becoming the club's top goalscorer this season after scoring Gillingham's second on Saturday.

Oldham manager John Sheridan has a fully fit squad for the visit of Gillingham.


Ronnies View: "We don't get too carried away, it's a few good victories. I think the lads have applied themselves really well, and we go into a game on Saturday against a team who have just come into form. They won at Forest the other week 2-0 and by all accounts should have got all three points at Blackpool, like we should have done, so two teams coming together, hopefully it'll be a cracking game.

"You can see from their last few results they've put it together. They've got some experience there in your Liddell's and people like that, so we've looked at the report, done a bit on the training ground, and hopefully we can go and just maintain our recent form.

"Gary Mulligan has about 6 stud marks across his chest and was a bit of a painful blow. Coxy went down injured but stayed on, I think he was after his hat trick that's why he stayed on, that would have been a first! Come tomorrow morning we might know where we're up to on that."

John Sheridans View: We're on a little run now and are unbeaten in three, so we'll go into the game with confidence and hopefully get the right result," said Latics boss Sheridan.

"Jeppo has done a good job at Gillingham. Consistency is everything in this division, so he'll be saying the same as me, that his lads have a great chance in this division if they stay consistent.

"Ronnie was here as a player, so he'll want to come back and do well, and they've got one or two decent players. It'll be a difficult game.

"I'm happy with the way we've been playing, though I would have liked to have a couple more points. We could perhaps have had four more, which would see us in the top six.

"We'll just keep plugging away, the lads' work rate has been different class, to be fair - and play football where we can," he said.
