Leeds Tykes Now Called Leeds Carnegie

We've all heard about the new name of the Tykes (Leeds Carnegie..sounds like the university team to me but lets carry on), but what on earth does this mean for us, the Rhinos? If Leeds Rugby are stupid enough to change the name of the Tykes, does this mean they will change our name into Leeds Carnegie Rhinos, or maybe even worse, Leeds Carnegie RLFC.

Big Announcement From Leeds Rugby

We've all heard about the new name of the Tykes (Leeds Carnegie..sounds like the university team to me but lets carry on), but what on earth does this mean for us, the Rhinos? If Leeds Rugby are stupid enough to change the name of the Tykes, does this mean they will change our name into Leeds Carnegie Rhinos, or maybe even worse, Leeds Carnegie RLFC.

If this does happen, what does it mean for the club. If you ask me, it sounds like the university team. What possesed them to change the name from Tykes to Carnegie.

Following the promotion of Tykes (sorry, Leeds Carnegie), according to a few rumours, Leeds Rugby LTD. get a grant to improve the facilities at the rugby stadium, ie the South Stand and get it ready for the 2009 Super League play-offs for the Rhinos.

Also, after getting news for this article, Leeds Rugby also just launched the 'Leeds Carnegie RU's' new kit, and guess what, ISC. This will probably mean Patrick will no longer make the Rhinos kit. So big changes at Headingley (sorry, Headingley CARNEGIE).

So, shall we reserve the leedscarnegierl.biz domain?

Who knows what will happen next, maybe change our anthem........Marching on to Carnegie University! Nah, doesn't have the same ring to it!!
