Busy Pre Season Lined Up

It's only been a few weeks after the end of the Super League season and fans are already bombarded with more news than ever - especially with talk of the coming season. The Rhinos yesterday released dates of the pre-season leading up to the season where we're looking to defend our trophy.

Brian McLennan will be have his first game in charge at the Headingley Carnegie in front of what will be a pritty good crowd for the traditional Festive Challenge on Boxing Day against Wakefield Trinity, KO 11:30.

Next it's over to the South Leeds Stadium where Leeds will take on Hunslet Hawks in the Lazenby Cup clash at 3pm.

Then just a week later the Rhinos will head over to the Chris Moyles Stadium to take on Featherstone Rovers on the 6th January at 3pm. Is that the only famous person from Featherstone?!

Back at Headingley, just before the team head of to Jacksonville, there is time for Kevin Sinfield's Testimonial match against Oldham which is on Sunday 13th January, 3pm.

Next on the schedule is a trip to Jacksonville, Florida when Leeds take on Russel Crowe's Sydney Rabbitohs for what he describes as the Rugby League Super Bowl as he talked on an American NFL show - but surely that's the World Club Challenge? That's on the 26th January.

And don't forget there is the WCC to bring into the picture. The two clubs are still decided where and when it should be but it will most likely be at Elland Road mid-February. Also good news is that Elland Road will by then have it's safety certificate for the top tier of the main stand to make the capacity back up to 40k.

And then of course after all that, it's the start of another year of Super League!
