Play-off update - week 2
What a difference a week can make! To quote my preview:-
" Whoever is selected to play this weekend will have to play out of their skins to get the show back on the road again and I know that Chiefs fans will be getting behind their team in what is a must win game .
So, no prediction from me but I hope we see the Chiefs play with pace, power and passion needed to secure a semi-final place".

I'm glad to report that both the squad and fans played their part in what looked likely to be a close fought game. However the Chiefs players backed themselves to deliver a victory and blew London Welsh away with 3 tries in the final 10 minutes. This was possible because of the groundwork done in the first 70 minutes and the impact made by the Chiefs replacements. The Chiefs also avoided giving away any 'soft' tries and limited opportunities for London Welsh to score with a highly disciplined display.
Each side has won it's home match and lost away. It's clear that bonus points are going to be really valuable as will any point taken away from home. The Chiefs bonus point win moves them to the top of the pool above LW on points difference. Which leaves the table looking like this.

What's on the menu for weekend 3? Well, the Chiefs go to Donny who gained their 1st victory against Nottingham. Nottingham visit London Welsh at Old Deer Park with both sides looking to get back to winning ways.
Will home advantage continue to prove beneficial? Well it's hard to say but I expect the Chiefs to win (narrowly) at Donny but I think the other match is too close to call.
