Rob's Way

With apologies to Mr Sinatra on this occasion.....


And now the end is near
And so we face the final home game
My friends we need a win
To finish 8th, of that I'm certain

We've lived a year that's full
We’ve travelled each and every motorway
And more, much more than this
We did it Rob’s way

Regrets I've had a few
But then again too few to mention
We lost by quite a few, away to Quins
But beat Northampton

WE fought so hard each game
And stayed well clear of relegation
Despite a small problem
With registration

Yes there were times I'm sure we knew
When we just lost, but could have drew
We won enough to beat the drop
We cheered the team, and sang the chop
We sang it loud, did Devon proud
And did it Rob’s way

I've laughed, and drunk and cried
I've had my fill, my share of losing
But even when we lost
We found the will to keep on boozing
They said that we’d come last
And may I say not in a shy way
But they didn’t know the Chiefs
They didn’t know Rob’s way

We’ve proved them wrong, We’re here to stay
We’re great at home, and good away
Its hard to beat those men in black
We’ve sound defence and good attack
And though it all. The Chiefs stood tall
And did it Rob’s way

Yes it was Rob’s way!
