Why do you support rugby?

One of the best team games that there is

When did you start watching (or playing) rugby and why?

Aged 7-ish


Which players did you/do you admire?

Not keen on show-boaters, and not keen on cheap-shot merchants; loads of time for most Chiefs' players. Favourite players growing up were Andy Irvine, Phillipe Sella and Danie Gerber


What’s your best memory as a spectator?

Sorry, but from an international perspective, the 1990 Grand slam is right up there! As an Exe supporter, the away experiences in Clermont and Toulon were both fantastic, altho winning the LV= Cup probably takes the biscuit

Why do you support Exeter Chiefs and how long have you been following them?

Altho a Glaswegian, Exe are my local team, and I've been following them for about 8 years since arriving in the west country

What has pleased you most about the way the club’s developed over the last few years?

The thoughtful nature behind the development of the club in manageable steps, with the infrastructure built up alongside the playing side

How many live games do you see a season?

15-20

Do you go to any away games?

Selectively

What’s your particular matchday routine?

None special, I confess, just a regular day

How do you think the coverage of the Chiefs and rugby union compare with other sports in the region?

Pretty strong

Do you watch any other sports?

Yes, I'll happily watch pretty much most sports, altho rarely have the time!


Do you watch rugby on TV. If so is it club games, internationals or both?

Both

Do you watch on terrestrial, satellite or cable and how does the coverage compare?

Either terrestrial or via PC

How long do you think it will take the Chiefs to make an AV play-off place?

3-4 years, when the current crop of youngster are reaching their prime

Any general comments about the club or the game?

My biggest fear is the general commercial direction that the game at large has taken - my biggest weakness is that I could easily be a luddite in that regard!
