Once more with pride
I predicted a win last week and said we'd need to approach as we did the LV=Cup final win and boy did the guys deliver. Having pulled out all the stops to defeat Sarries on their own patch the Chiefs just have one 'league' premiership game to go. Chiefs will need the same level of intensity, accuracy and passion going into this game so we do our part in trying to grab a play-off spot. Once again I'm backing the guys to win but it's not going to be easy as Sale will be trying all they can to give themselves an outside chance of a top European spot next season. Both sides also need other results to go their way and give the desired outcome but I'm sure the Chiefs will be fully focussed on the game in hand.
Rob Baxter will have most of the squad fit to play and it seems likely that Jack Nowell will start at 15 with Henry Slade staying at 13 leaving Steeno in the 10 spot. This leaves Sam Hill at 12 and Whits and Jessy on the wings and Will Chudley at 9. Will Chudley must be one of the best 9's around and should be on the England team shorlist.
Chudders will be looking for the forwards to give him a good platform to work from and the performances against Saints and Sarries show how effective those guys can be.
The pack is likely to show little change from the Sarries game but we may see the Giraffe on Steroids, Damien Welch get a start rather than a bench seat. However the main question re the pack must be whether Thomas The Tank Engine can break the Premiership try scoring record. He only needs another 2 tries to do this and I wouldn't want to bet against it. I'm sure the pack will be doing all they can to give him a chance of doing this.
I make no appology for only focussing on the Chiefs side of things as I'm sure Sale will be doing their best to spoil the party but The Tribe are only interested in one thing, that's a top performance from our guys with a positive outcome. Whatever happens I hope Saints can do the business against Tigers to make the play-off spot available but it's been our best season in the Prem and we'll be hoping to get the likes of Toulon back to Sandy Park next season.
There's one Chief in particular who would really like to extend the season and have the chance to add more silverware to the cabinet, That's our Captain Fantasdtic Dean Mumm. Dean will be leaving us for Aus once the season ends and it would be a fitting end to what has been a great 3 years under his captainship. Dean has truly become one of the Chiefs greats and has bought into everything it takes to be a Chief. Whatever the outcome he'll go with good wishes from The Tribe as will the other players who leave us at the end of the season.

It's just another step on the journey. I keep saying it, but the Chiefs roller coaster carries on delivering, with the advantage that each crest is higher than the last.
Wether we make the play offs or not it's been a fantastic season and the boys deserve a rocking SP
