Having qualified for the Prem play-offs for the first time the Chiefs made sure they would have a home Semi v Wasps by demolishing Quins at the Stoop. Having previously restricted Wasps to just 3 points at Sandy Park the previous week and failed to gain a bonus point there was plenty of pressure on Rob Baxters players coming into this match. Well, if the Sandy Park boss needed any reassurance over his sides ability to deliver under pressure the last two games will give him cause to smile. Having said this Rob and the players won't be getting ahead of themselves and will be p0reparing for a third big game on the bounce when Wasps come calling on the 21st. Not being able to travel to the Stoop I opted to join fellow Chiefs supporters in the Hole in the Wall in Exeter to watch the game. I must say I was expecting a much closer affair as were many others. But as the game progressed some struggled to keep up with the number of tries scored. The Chiefs never looked like losing and their all court game just blew Quins off the park. The result leaving the final table looking like this:-
Our Quins friends were shocked by their teams performance but very impressed with the Chiefs. Wasps will have learned a lot from their recent visit to SP but, if we perform as well as we have in the last two games, we will be difficult to beat particularly at home!
