Cornwallchief has kindly summarised Rob's latest interview for us. I can't find a link to a video of this at the moment, so if anyone has one I'll be grateful if you could post it below.
Rob was almost brutally frank about our first half performance against Harlequins and our tendency to give ourselves a mountain to climb after poorish first half performances.
Against Harlequins he thought our set piece was pretty good but the error count in the first half was much too high. He was phlegmatic about our recent matches having all been against teams who are performing well and we are a target for them. An example this week being Leicester who have been on good form of late having just beaten Gloucester away 20 to 14. Again he emphasised how competitive everything.
On the injury front he said it is what it is and we have to get on with it. Slade, Whitten, Hendrickson, Cuthbert and Nowell all injured and no clues given as to how long the lay-offs will be.
So, IMO this week and next away to Gloucester are really important matches for us and could easily determine whether we stay in the top two and also psychologically affect us against Lyon. With Jonny Gray injured and Hill and Skinner away I hope some of our lesser lights really take their opportunities. Selecting a team against Gloucester away is a real test. We would normally rest many of our team that would take on Lyon but can we afford to do that in the current injury crisis and with our internationals needing a rest?

Sorry Osmium should read Harlequins not Wasps - a senior moment!😯
I did wonder why we'd be looking that far back! That's why I was trying to find a video of it.
Edited.
