Some history in this match up. A chance for revenge I'm sure the girls won't ignore.

By the way - cream on first. There's nothing to debate.

A curious mixture - a wretched first half followed by a very entertaining second half, capped by that appaling blunder in the closing minutes.
I think there are a few work-ons for next week, particularly dealing with the high ball and our kicking out of hand.
I normally don't like to criticise the officials, but today’s referee must be worthy of special mention. He managed to conclude that Katie Buchanan hadn’t grounded the ball with very little video evidence and then chose to ignore the high tackle by the Gloucester player. On another day, that’s a penalty try and a yellow card. He also managed to ignore the fact that Gloucester were racking up an eye-watering number of penalties, many of them in the red zone, thoughout the second half, yet the yellow card remained resolutely in his pocket. Finally, his interpretation of when the ball was out of the ruck was generous, to say the least. Gloucester, to their credit, spotted that as soon as he could see the ball in among the legs of our players he would just flap his arms ineffectually, and they would come round the back of the ruck and nick it! It just highlights the big gulf between the top officals and those lower down the order… Lets hope M. Reynal has a good game tomorrow!

SixNineOne...I can't put it straighter than that. Only reason Buchanen wouldn't have been able to ground the ball would have been the arm round her neck and given we only lost by four points in the end....gah!

Well put 691 - couldn't have said better myself. I had the pleasure of a Cornishman's company this afternoon and enjoyable conversation lead to complete disbelief at sirs reasoning behind that decision.
Having said that, I feel it actually drove our girls to be more cohesive and make real progress. Not sure it'd have happened otherwise. It was a real shocker that effectively sunk us. Complete lack of communication.
In Rob we trust.

I think you'll find equal numbers of the Gloucester/Hartpury contingent unhappy with the referee's performance...

Well, our predictions this week were, I think, even worse than usual! Only SixNineOne managed to score any points. Must do better next time everyone
