This from Stopsy on the Leicester forum made me grin:

They are a brilliant set of officials and thank goodness we’ve got Rose as TMO, he’ll use his light touch common sense to see both sides and ensure the other 3, good as they are, don’t spoil the game.

it must be said that is a seriously strong Leicester team. Be v interesting to see how we cope. I mean really strong. Fantastic that is sold out.

If we can cope with their set piece strength, then we have a chance altho’ on my normal metric of comparative number of internationals they outnumber us approx 15 to 6.
My main worry is Pollard. I really really rate him. I had the pleasure of attending our obliteration at Welford Rd at the end of last season and he was magisterial. His game management was first class. He doesn’t have any weaknesses.
It’s going to be a very tough day at the office. I think we can do it if the stars align we have a following wind and we defend like furies.

Home advantage and a decent run of form would make you favourites, but this new Tigers are starting to find that old roar, could be close

Discipline around the breakdown is the biggest issue for me.
We absolutely have to keep the penalty count low. Best wishes to Tommy Reffell but I'm glad he isn't playing!

If we win tomorrow we shouldn’t suffer the rubbish we’ve only beaten under strength teams when on paper they’ve all been better.
Hope all are in good voice as the boys are going to need it against this team, I do believe we will win
But it going to be so tight and decided on small margins.
Not to worried about the pack, we won’t dominate but should hold our own for decent ball.
Come on you Chiefs.

Should be a great occasion with a sell out crowd. With it forecast to be windy our kicking will need to be spot on and also have to match tigers forward based game plan. Our last two results have clearly exceeded expectations fingers crossed we can keep it going. So good to see how the young players are developing so quickly this will be a good test against a team full of internationals.

We have had two brilliant wins. My heart wants us to win but my head says otherwise. My main worries are our line out with our throwing - especially Yenz - against a team packed with jumpers; our wayward kicking and Pollard who has the skill set to hurt us out wide.. Hope we get a win or a losing bonus point plus four tries but fear the worst. Hope I am wrong and you all are right. Chiefs 27 Leicester 38. To win this would be a huge marker as to the teams progress and underrated strength.

There are eight of our academy lads in the side, such a difference from when we stupidly tried to buy a side and almost got relegated, both sides are a bit away from their best, but I reckon this could be the fixture of the weekend.

That is a seriously good tigers team sheet, and actually a bit of a blueprint for us. As tigerburnie said above, it's built on a core of young players who came up from the academy. I remember they had a big clear out, similar to us, then had a season or so were results were up and down whilst those players bedded in, then they won the league. Think they will be to strong for us today. Chiefs 17 Tigers 27. Really hope I'm wrong!!

That’s was they way our original team was built, we are following our own blueprint, and as long as Robs there I’m sure we will always look to academy and youth first.

If you want a really good seasonal laugh, visit the Leicester Rugby Football Club Fans Forum. The usual blame game for the referee of course - one contributor even got the wrong whistler. But best comment of all is that Exeter wanted it more than Leicester - because it is Christmas.
