We have a very strong side out with Claudia on the wing but they have serious talent and the formidable Botterman. I am going with my heart but fear their pack giving Aitchison plenty of ball to play with. Chiefs 31 Bristol 27

It’ll be interesting to see how Ilona Maher goes in her first start. We’ve got a very strong and settled side, though, so I’m going with:
Chiefs 29, Bears 24

Chiefs 30 Bristol 25. Hope advantage decides it as long as the ladies have their act together.

For those who aren't already aware, this match is on TNT Sports this afternoon

Disappointing news that Hope Rogers is out. Fingers crossed it isn't too serious, but I'm sure she'll be missed this afternoon.

A game with a lot of interest for me Outmuscled in the scrums especially with Rogers out. We had very little possession and did not deserve to win but a great watch on TNT sports. Despite everything Suzie's players tackled heroically and though a few were missed 280 were made. We did not kick too much and three of the tries scored by our backs were top draw. Before anyone doubts it watch the match. What a difference from the men's team. We lost, Bristol deserved their win, but there was plenty to cheer us up with the Chief's effort.

Agreed, CC. I can't sell the game highly enough. It was disappointing, but we were out muscled. 2 silly pen tries and a yellow card didn't help. Much go be excited about. A real pity that the off-load didn't happen at the close to give 2 BPs, but we're still in with a shout for a home semi.

I didn't see the whole match,just the second 40.
Girls against women for much of what I saw but we stuck at it and turned it round to them for the last 10 and really should have had the 2 points to show for the efforts.
A very strange bordering on ridiculous decision to take the pick and go from the edge of their 22 with 3 mins to go. If it had been 5 metres out understandable but from the 22??
Couple that with Claudia drawing the 2 tacklers then not passing when she had done exactly that?
Those 2 instances were like watching the Chiefs men play.
We are better than that

Zyder I couldn't disagree more. Over the whole match they tackled ferociously, and although outmuscled by the best prop in the world Imo - Botterman and several others of the England pack - remembering their own star prop was out it was chalk and cheese. The women can hold their heads up high despite the loss - NOT like the men's performances all season. The fly half - Perry scored a brilliant individual try -watch it - and another try came from a brilliant outside to in line by our 12 McGoverne. They had some seasoned internationals in their three quarters. Yes the pass should have been made by MacDonald at the last play but for a first start after a nasty injury; she did score two tries one a wonderfully skilled outside break. IMO it was a more gutsy determined performance than shown by any of the men's matches all season. They played like a proper team who were well coached and had some decent ideas how to attack when they rarely managed to get possession. All meant in peace. It helped lift some of my recent Chief's gloom

Zyder, I have agree with CC and his response. Why you are being so analytical/critical having watched, at most half of the game? Smacks of someone who,as you seem to mention, is so frustrated with the men ties season.
It was a fantastic exhibition of the growth of women’s rugby, let’s look at it as a separate entity, which itdeserves.
What a crowd too, 3,500, yes the Maher effect. Nothing wrong with that!

Better performance than the men's team at least. One hell of a match but even the women seem to have lost an edge somewhere. I have faith they'll get it back though.

As, for the second game running, no-one scored any points, I won't embarrass us all with a table.
