Biggest threat is Ellie Kildunne who caused us no end of trouble the last time she was at Sandy Park. I thought we would win comfortably v Sale and this is a tougher test by far. Hope Claudia has a good game and having McGoverne back is a plus. Chiefs 27 Harlequins 22

By the way - cream on first. There's nothing to debate.

I think this is going to be a real nail biter. Let’s hope we can get back in the saddle after last week’s horror story. We have home advantage, but they’re ladies whereas we’re only women…

What a great advert for rugby women's rugby is. Open running rugby, some big tackles, plenty of passion and some great tries. In many ways the Claudia MacDonald v Ellie Kildunne show plus some other top quality women internationals. Quins won, taking their chances . Chiefs should have won but for an interception try, a crazy pass and a mega gift at the breakdown leading to Kildunne magic. The Chiefs will be gutted to have lost that and Suzie very frustrated. Quins 31 Chiefs 30. Sadly this run of ,losses mean we must win against Bristol next week or else a finish in the top four will be a struggle. That is a tough ask and away to Saracens as well in the last two! Quins qualified today for the top four. Gloucester Hartpury have qualified already and two of Bristol, Saracens or us.

Ellie Kildunne was outstanding. Unfortunately we simply gave her far too much space and she took it gratefully. Our kicking from the tee was off, and if the last try had been converted, with 8 points clear and 4mins on the clock we were home ... Unfortunately just 6 points gave them everything to play for and they took their chances.
A real shame as our girls worked incredibly hard for that, but Quins exploitation of our mistakes and their own hunger saw them take the spoils.
We're a bit off the pace this year, but hopeful that we'll get to the play offs, even if it's an away fixture.
In Rob we trust.

Was Rusi Tuima watching today as his sister was playing for Quins?

I wondered the same but didn’t see him there.

Had to miss out on this one as was still the wrong side on the Taimar at the time although homeward bound.
Blah! Great showcase for the women's game but we really should have been able to hold on to that one. Not sure where the women's form has gone!

From a Bristol perspective, I think you’re still favourites for top 4 whatever happens next week. We have a bye week in the last round when you go to Leicester so we’d probably need to be 5 points clear of you after the next 2 rounds and you’re 2 points ahead of us currently.
If you win next week you’re qualified* but if we win we still need to win away at Quins (tricky) and you lose away to either Sarries (plausible) or Leicester (unlikely). Even if we get the full 10 from our remaining 2 games, there are enough bonus points available for you to overtake us with just 1 win.
It is still mathematically possible for us both to qualify at the expense of Sarries (fingers crossed!) but I’d be very surprised if it isn’t 2xLondon and 2xWest Country in the playoffs.
*actually there’s a theoretical scenario where you win without a TBP and we get 2 bonus points where we could scrape through, but that’s very theoretical.

HI 9215, Thanks for your post I hope you are correct that we should make it to the last four. I will keep fingers and toes crossed. the next few weeks should see some cracking games. Unfortunately probably no more women's matches at Sandy Park this year. If you are going next week it should be another cracker at Bristol, Hope we sneak it - it will be close I think
