Off tack slightly but I hope Raffi Q is back to form.
I like the Chiefs selection but Sale need it and look strong
Chiefs 24 Sharks 35. Prove me wrong boys but more importantly continue the improvement.

I think that this will be a proper contest. Chiefs have got absolutely nothing to lose but Sale have. That could actually work in our favour.
Im sure Baxter will see this fixture as critical to his reputation and will have done everything possible to motivate the guys. They will know that its their last chance to find some redemption before next season. I actually like the selection but it will depend on everyone keeping their heads and not making daft mistakes and losing discipline.
Containing Ford and putting him on the back foot will be key in defence. Getting quick ball to Hodge Wyatt and PBB key in attack.
I think being underdogs will probably suit the team so I'm going to stick my neck out and say Chiefs 25 Sale 23.
It should be a good watch whatever happens.

Weirdly quite optimistic after the Quins game. As others have said, we have nothing to lose and the pressure is on Sale. I like the idea of Chiefs being party-poopers on Super Saturday.
But, my gut says...
Chiefs 26 - 35 Sale
Cueto wasn't in touch, at least in my dreams.

The fact that Sale are a really hard bunch who are desperate to secure a top 4 place, and that we seem fundamentally unable to score more than 3 tries, counts for nothing in my view…
Chiefs 31, Sale 26

I think the game will be won and lost up front and think we will come second best unfortunately. Roots will have to play out of his skin to make this a contest. Normally a banker home win against sale but without some of our top players think sale will shade it.

Well, even if I predict the correct score I still can't catch keithbar54 at the top of the predictions table. I also feel strangely positive about this one so I'm going to predict a Chiefs shock ..... Chiefs 27 Sharks 26

Chiefs 23 Sharks 25 - I think we'll hold them well, but ultimately they'll show their strength, although I'd be delighted to see a Chiefs victory to cap the season now Baxter's back at the helm.

Very undecided about this but would not be surprised to see us lose heavily again. I suspect we will give away a lot of penalties or just lose the breakdown heavily. Chiefs 22 Sale 46

At least you have made the play offs
Would not be surprised to see Rob Hunter on the sale bench
Exeter 21. Sale 45

Who knows which Chiefs team will turn up? The one which ran Bath and Quins close or the one that capitulated against Gloucester and struggled past a third string saints side. We'll have to be right on it, to even run this Sharks team close. I feel that their need for five points, and our flakey confidence, could lead to this becoming messy!! However, as we've absolutely nothing to lose, and they do,. nerves could creep in if it remains tight. Still can only see a big Sale win personally. Chiefs 19 Sale 42
Hope to see better though and at least some effort. Zero handling errors too please I fear for our scrum facing that Sale pack.

Congratulations to keithbar54 who grabbed the lead just after Christmas and has hung on ever since despite Andy 15.1's late surge. Well played
Thanks to everyone for participating. We go again next season!

Well done Keithbar54 and Andy15.1! You clearly had a realistic view of our competitive position. By contrast, I’m proud to say that my mindless and totally unjustified optimism resulted in the lowest number of points per match…

Thanks again to ouch and congrats to KB.
My simple strategy of we were nailed on to lose every away game with our squad of forwards and it was maybe we could win a few at home. I hope we are more competitive next season especially away and I have high hopes of Hooper but our front row looks especially thin again. Lots to mull over before the first game.

Well done ouch for all your hard work which is much appreciated ,you keep this forum social able and theres been soon good topics this season. well done Andy for chasing me to the end also chief bert with two games less could have won. Any way lets all hope the chiefs have a better season next time around and with the new additions who knows. Thought we could beat sale as we stepped up in the second half but like so many time a player loses his composure lets hope RB sorts that out and who knows well done everyone who took part in the predictions keep safe and see you all next season.
