A win would be some performance, they have excess speed on the wing and lots of players who can win matches. Shame Claudia not playing. We have to win the forward battle and it will be a struggle. Here's hoping - Chiefs 38 Saracens 35

What a frustrating game. Saracens took most of their opportunities and Chiefs with lots of possessio0n squandered quite a few. We certainly fellout of favour with the ref who missed numerous off sides, breakdown penalties and a one handed pat which only resulted in a scrum when there was a possible try. We lost because of too many mistakes failing to keep possession in their 22 and a wobbling line out at critical times. Not the end of our season but so frustrating; we should have edged that game.

It certainly was frustrating cc.
It was a good performance generally.
For most of the game we were the better side and we should have won that game but haven't even picked up a point?!?
The most telling factor was our line out capitulation in the second half.
We gave up so many good positions from attacking line out opportunities and Sarries just didn't have to work hard for their points which seems to have been a theme recently.
Definitely a missed opportunity but we should be pleased that the level of performance makes us disappointed to lose against a good side.
It's that extra 5/10% that is costing us.

To quote my Dad "bother, said Pooh". Only good thing about that second half display in particular is that us, Glaws and Sarries have so much breathing space from the rest that we're not going to be threatened immediately but we're not going to be playing for a while either.

Quote:My feeling too. Lots to be happy about, but there could be so much more. As long as we remain in the top 4 we'll be in with a shout at the end of the season.Zyder head

We got stitched by the female line judge who put her flag up for a foot in touch then put it down and then didn't put it up when the ball bounced out of play and back into play, resulting in a 50 metre loss and led to their next score. Why was the TMO not used for that or anything else? Shock performance from the officials!

She also gave Sarries about an extra 10 yards when they were given a penalty just before half time. End result was their second try.
I can only assume there wasn’t a TMO.
Great game to be at. Just sorting our lineouts could have reversed the scoreline.

Does that follow? I never realised.
It doesn't work the other way round, ie plenty of non-televised games have a tmo. Or perhaps not in the women's game?

If there was a TMO, he was watching one of the men’s games on tha tv instead of doing his job!

Yeah I got it from a very reliable source as Maisy asked the ref at least once to ask the TMO to look at something, the foot in touch/ ball bouncing in touch was one and the late hit on Liv and a head on head tackle.

I thought it was a good game and to be honest I had thought we may well have to settle for a losing bonus point.
Good luck for the rest of the season and I suspect you'll be Top4 come the end.
It's interesting to see how the three big clubs who've lost DoRs last season are doing. It seems to have made no difference to Glaws, you seem to be doing well and adding to your attack and Bears seem in free-fall although to be fair they have quite a lot of injuries.
That is a genuinely awful take.
The AR put her flag up for touch but by then Corrigan had already cleared so it wasn't. On replaying it several times I think the ball touches the line but that was missed in game, not ideal but these things happen, you got possession under no pressure and had a chance to clear.
Between Corrigan's kick and when we scored the try is 5 minutes during which you have a scrum and kick to clear three times.
Drawing a line between a ball that was kicked, did bounce in touch which was missed and a try 5 minutes later with multiple opportunities to clear the ball into the opposition half and at least one break in play is grasping at straws as is suggesting it's the sort of thing the TMO should be looking out for.
