I really don't think Tigers ladies are quite there yet, but I'm sure in time...

By the way - cream on first. There's nothing to debate.

It's not our best team with a few big names missing, but I'm hoping it'll be enough to overcome a relatively inexperienced Tigers team.

Chiefs 31; Tigers 17

The 36-0 scoreline doesn't really reflect the game yesterday afternoon. Tigers are a fairly inexperienced team who put up a surprisingly stout defence, but just lacked the finishing firepower. Chiefs struggled to put together much flowing rugby with too many errors, although the conditions won’t have helped. We had quite a few big names missing, and I thought all the new faces acquitted themselves well as individuals and showed some real promise, but the team as a whole just didn’t seem to click. It was worrying to see Katie Buchanan go down with a knock in the first half, but what was more worrying was seeing what the physio then did to her leg, bending it at a seemingly impossible angle to get her back on her feet! Thankfully she then played on, whereas Danielle Preece’s knee (?) injury in the second half sadly looked like it might be season ending. Overall the right result, but we’ll need to regain a lot more cohesion and bring back a few of our big names if we’re to come away with a result at Quins next weekend.

I certainly agree with your comments regarding the treatment to Katie B. I didn't even know you could bend a leg in those directions, all at once. Clearly the physio knew what they were doing, because she didn't even limp afterwards!

Tigers white line defence was mostly outstanding too.

Many usual names missing from the Chiefs line-up, but also good to hear on the YouTube commentary from Susie that 11 players today came through the University BUCS system, with a real handful of PWR debuts.
