Graham Kavanagh, after just making a return to training, has suffered another injury in training to his ankle which will keep him out for the rest of the season.

The 33 year old suffered an ankle injury in training from a tackle and is now aiming to be back for pre-season. Graham has undergone 2 knee operations since his move to the Stadium of Light in august. He was just about to make his long awaited comeback in the Sunderland starting squad. Roy Keane told the website that graham suffered an ankle injury from a tackle in training and wont heal for 4-5 weeks. He also stated that its one of those things that cant be helped because people have to tackle. Kavanagh had just made a return to football in a friendly match against hibernian in which he featured for 45 minutes. Keane said that it was touch and go whether he was going to be involved again this season for the Sunderland team but theres no chance of seeing Kav feature now. He stated that it is a big shame as Graham worked very hard to get back to fitness.
