Should John Terry be England Captain?

Football scandal is something all fans have become accustomed to over the years. Reputations of many players have been tarnished as stories of their personal lives floods the media. But is the latest scandal of John Terry's affair with supposedly good buddy Wayne Bridge's partner a step too far? Or is it just one more ticking odd to add to Terry's ever expanding list?

It will certainly be a dilema for England boss Fabio Capello; determined as he is to keep his players whiter than white during and in the run up to the World Cup.  Capello has even banned his squad from using Twitter, Facebook and writing newspaper columns during the competition this summer.

What then, will he make of John Terry's latest behaviour?  And more to the point, is this really the kind of player England fans want to see with the captains arm band during the World Cup this summer?

But it does because he is in the public eye. This guy is a role model. More to the point he cheated with a friend and team mates missus - would you want your missus around him now?

This could seriously effect his relationship amongst some of his England team mates.

More to the point this isn't an isolated incident. It's a constant stream of poor behaviour. No way should he be captain. Why should he be rewarded at all for being a total moron?

The England management should send out a clear message to the rest of the squad and to any up and coming players , But i doubt if they will .

Rumours are there are more than Terry close to the England team doing this sort of thing. It's just that he didn't get away with it.

Not surprised Terry is refusing to resign, he doesn't have a record of the doing the decent thing. He has a catalogue of unsavoury incidents that he has been involved in and is now no better than a joey barton. He should be removed as captain immediately. He is a disgrace for doing it, a disgrace for gagging the woman and attempting to pay her off, a disgrace for cheating on a team mate- none of whom will ever trust him again, and a disgrace for trying to hide it through the courts.

Terry is a low life, which has made England an embarrassment.
