Another New Signing

Next season is looking ever more exciting. We have now signed Wales international fly half Aled Thomas from Scarlets and he'll join fellow half-back Greig Laidlaw who can player either 9 or 10 ..

Thirty year old Thomas  first joined the Scarlets in 2004 followed by Carmarthen Quins, Newport Gwent Dragons and London Welsh.

He rejoined the Scarlets three years ago making 60 appearances and scoring 247 points. Of course, Nigel Davies was in charge at the time and he says his new signing has a fine attacking game and is a points machine when it comes to goal kicking.

However, it may be his defensive game which is needed next season. Glaws are staging an inquest into how Newcastle Falcons ran riot in the last quarter scoring four tries and earning themslves two bonus points.

Of course, we were coasting at the time, but Davies is making the point that if you are to have success in an extremely competitive league you cannot afford to switch off at anytime over the eighty minutes.

It was certainly a try-fest for the faithful with Glaws racing into a 37-7 lead only for Falcons to come back and were just one converted try short of a big shock with a final score of 40-33.
