Coaches Named

Walshe

The hunt for the new head coach must be over - otherwise why would we today name Nick Walshe and John  Muggleton as our new backs' and forwards' coaches respectively!

It may be  Trevor Woodman who is apparently staing at Kingsholm, but whoever it is will have sanctioned the latest appointments, which means there's no coaching job left for Mike Tindall who ran the backs last season.

Llanelli Scarlets defensive coach John Muggleton Fifty four year old Muggleton [left] is an ex-Australian Rugby League international. He was defence coach for the Wallabies for 10 years including their 1999 World Cup win

Walshe, 39, was a scrum half with Quins, Saracens, Sale and Barff  and has done very well as the  coach of the England Under-20s side.

The team won the IRB Junior World Championship title for the first time in 2013, then successfully defended their championship last week in New Zealand.

Walshe also had a spell coaching at Dings Crusaders and Bedford as a player and  coach.
