Beware Wounded Tigers
Purdy - First Try
By Cherry Picker
September 29 2014
It's good to see that the Glaws management aren't being fooled by the six try victory over London Welsh. The Exiles have us a hard time until they ran out of steam and Geg Laidlaw used his experience to get us going ..
David Humphreys has told the Citizen that the coaches are getting increasingly frustrated by the way the basics are not being carried out properly. That includes handling skills and erratic line-outs.
On the plus side we always have Jonny May to ignite a game, while Henry Purdy scored the first try and will continue to develop as he gets more game time and Mark Atkinson scored twice.
Fitness is not an issue as we scored 31 points in the last quarter of an hour, but nobody is being deceived as the likes of James Hook still haven't shown their undoubted class.
Tigers are up next and they will be smarting after their home defeat by Irish.
It promises to be a fascinating contest and a victory would really kick start our season.

fortunately class and fitness told in the end .
Cant make my mind up about the Tigers game. Id rather they narrowly beat the Irish rather than the other way round but we are at home. Pity its not another atmospheric Friday night game though
