It's not often you feel sorry for a French side but there were times last night when my heart went out to Brive ..

Gloucesters Charlie Sharples scores their first try during the European Rugby Challenge Cup match atI was actually hoping they would get a score, but in  the end they couldn't argue with a 55-0 score line as Charlie Sharples and Co simply blew them away with some great running and support play.

 

Charlie got a hat-trick as the squad continued to grow, and we will score a lot of tries against more able opposition before this competition reaches its finale.His first try came  on 16 minutes but we only lead 10-0 lead at the break.

 

However, we cut loose in the second with  six more tries including two from Sharples and scores from James Hook, Gloucesters Darren Dawidiuk scores their fourth try during the European Rugby Challenge Cup match atDarren Dawidiuk and Dan Robson. A penalty try at the end rubbed salt in Brive's wounds.

This is a competition we must now be favourites to win.

You can only beat what is in front of you. That performance would have beaten most sides in either European competition tbh.
What a finisher Sharples is.

Can't hide the fact that we are in the second tier of competition and I don't think we will get too excited until we get to the final [if we do, of coruse]
