Billy at 10

Billy Twelvetrees will lead the side from fly half for Friday night's  home encounter with Quins. Sadly for him he's not one of the seven Glaws players called up by their country.

The magnificent 7 include Jonny May who boosted his England standing tremendously against the All Blacks. As did Ben Morgan, of course.

James Hook is on Wales duty and Greg Laidlaw hoping to continue his tremendous form with Scotland, while Sione Kalamafoni, Aleki Lutui, and Sila Puafisi ill all be turning out at Kingsholm this weekend. They're in the Tongan sqaud to take on the USA Eagles on Saturday.

We will have Richard Hibbard back as he isn't required by Wales who are rotating their squad plus he's had a foot injury. As a result he will have to be content with starting on the bench.

Gloucs: Rob Cook; Charlie Sharples, Billy Meakes, Mark Atkinson, Henry Purdy; Billy Twelvetrees (capt), Dan Robson; Nick Wood, Darren Dawidiuk, John Afoa; Tom Palmer, James Hudson; Tom Savage, Matt Kvesic, Ross Moriarty.

Reps: Richard Hibbard, James Gibbons, Yann Thomas, Elliott Stooke, Gareth Evans, Callum Braley, Aled Thomas, Dan Thomas.

Quins make a similar number of changes for the return to Premiership league rugby. Nick Easter is back to lead the team from No 8.

 Nick Evans and George Lowe are in the backs. Dave Ward is selected at hooker ande George Robson and Luke Wallace also return.

Quins:  Ross Chisholm; Charlie Walker, Matt Hopper,  George Lowe, Ollie Lindsay-Hague;  Nick Evans, Karl Dickson; Mark Lambert, Dave Ward, Kyle Sinckler;  Charlie Matthews, George Robson; Joe Trayfoot, Luke Wallace, Nick Easter.

Looking forward to this one. Friday night games have plenty of atmosphere and that's still one very strong squad we have out there with some talent to come off the bench . Reckon we'll be onto a bonus point win

You're without your first choice 8,9 and 10 so your confidence may well be misplaced.
I don't you are overly strong in the second row either so I shall be watching (on TV) with some confidence.

Just because some of those names aren't household ones is no reason to think they are not top class individuals with bright futures. Suggest you also record the game so you can double check what I've said.
My only concern is what is going to be a heavy pitch

Your last comment is probably your most sensible.
If it is heavy (an look slike alsop being very windy)it will a forwards slug as bothy of sets of backs look a bit lightweight.
If that push become a shove I can see us winning by a couple of tries as we have the power up front and the likes of Collier to come on and liven things up.

Dont think the weather will be a big factor. The pitch drains well these days and the forecast is for the gales to die down during the day tomorrow

Wind has dropped as well. Over on the Quins board they are getting concerned by the size of our backs so perhaps they fear being steamrollered all over the pitch not just in the pack.

So heartwarming when you see a Gloucester pack pushed all over the place.
And here's a question. If David Humphreys thinks your backs are so good why does he insist on having the longest grass and slowest playing surface in the Premiership?
