The European Challenge Cup continues to look like  as though it will provide our best chance of silverware this season ....

Together with the Chiefs we are pretty much favourites to land the trophy and we remain on track with the hard earned bonus point win over Zebre.

The Italians gave dogged resistance, and they'll be even tougher on their own patch next week. However, we are comfy at the top of Pool Five and could absorb the odd hiccup.

We went in to a 21-5 first half lead thanks to an excellent burst from full back Steve McColl followed by a bit of class from James Hook

The second half was less of a spectacle, but the dynamic Matt Kvesic scored near the end and Mark Atkinson earned the bonus point thanks to a slcie of luck. Not for the first time Zebre lost the bal  in midfield and Purdy sped away. Unfortunately he managed his pass to ground but very fortunately it bounced off Atkinson's shin allowing him to fly- hack the ball over for the touchdown.

The 35-10 win probably flattered us on the day, but with some of the international boys due to come back we should complete the job in Italy.

I dont see why we need to risk any big guns for this fixture to be honest.
It won't be pretty and its not really a must win game

Typical arrogant Shed comment. You have two games left in the Pool stages and while clear favourites to win the group you should give every game your best shot.

Nothing to do with being arrogant. We have 14 points from three games and we only need to win one out of the last two to ensure we win the group.
Why risk key players in Italy when our last game is against Oyonnax at Kinsgholm and we could pull out the big guns if we need to win that.
