Injury Worries Ahead of Final
Burns Day

Is a dramatic last ditch 42-40 win good preparation for a European final? We will see, but if this week's big game produces half as many thrills and spills it will be a belter - provided we win, of course.
Unfortunately the legacy of that comeback against Falcons may be that we will be without the services of three injured players. Jonny May went off early and was followed into the physio room by Sione Kalamafoni and Dan Murphy.
Gloucs started off very badly handing every initiative to the Geordies, and seemingly with more than one eye on the Stop and the final against Edinburgh.
It was only when the reinforcements were called off the bench that we set up a dramatic finale with Billy Twelvetrees, Dan Robson, Henry Purdy and Billy Burns all scorreing tries. Burns earning himself a match haul of 22 points .
That overturned a deficit of 17 points after an hour.
So we go into the final off the back ofa momentous victory - that's the way to look at it !
