Di Long Passes Away

In these days of professional rugby it is sometimes easy to forget the family roots from which the present game sprang. Sadly news comes today that our clUb has lost a stalwart who was a constant reminder of where we had come from.

Di Long had been a Gloucester supporter since the 1940's apparently standing under the famous clock. Husband  Roy was a player and became Hon. Sec.

Like so many wives in those days she got involved in making the after match meals and many of those ladies got together earlier this year for a reunion.

She continued to support the Cherry and Whites into the modern era and was a familar face to thousands of like minded rugby people. She will be sadly missed.
