Two games left and nothing to play for at the end of a season which promised much and ultimately failed to deliver anything. Whatever happens against Sale and Saints that will be the end of term verdict ...

There was much head scratching in the Shed at the end of the vibrant 16-9 victory of over high flying Chiefs.

The side looked so comfortable throughout you had to wonder why we can't do it every week. Nobody expects us to win every week but we should be top six and we should have been able to defend our trophy in the second tier European tournament.

Thanks goodness we did end our run of four successive Premiership defeats thanks to Ollie Thorley's try.

Perhaps we shoudl field a lot more of the up and talent in the last two games.
