Charlie Sharples could make his long awaited return this Friday when Glasgow arrive for the last warm-up game before  the Premiership start ..

David Humphreys says Charlie trained well at the Tenerife boot camp and could have played in the rain soaked defeat at Leinster.

The narrow 26-24 defeat gave the coaches a chance to give a boatload of players some game contact with only Henry Purdy and David Halaifonua  featuring in both halves. All of the new boys put thjemslves into contention for a start against Leicester with  Matt Scott, Andy Symons and Cameron Orr all making their debuts.

The Glasgow Warriors game will be a 7.45 ko.
