Fourie Signs

Johan Ackermann's South African connections have worked again with the signing of hooker cum prop Corné Fourie.

He's 31 and will bring some experience and grit to the front row having played for the Lions and Stormers in Super Rugby. He's also had a stint in Japan and was capped for South Africa's Under 20s.

Fourie arrives during this phoney pre-season which saw a disjointed performance at Bristol in the Premiership Cup.

We went down 20-17 -despite scoring three tries to the Bears' brace - ours coming from Joe Simpson, Matt Bannahan, and Gerbrandt Grobler.

Next up in the Premiership Cup is Quins at The Stoop this Saturday.
