Thorley Tames Tigers

Four tries in the first half from Ollie Thorley helped Gloucs to an entertaining Bank Holiday win over Leicester. As the scoreline suggests the backs had a field day and their first half points haul is a club record.
Tigers may be continuing to struggle, by their standards, and our coaches may be looking at how they were allowed to score 30 points- although they only crossd the whitewash three times.
The game, of course, was over by half time.
Joe Simpson and Thorley corssed in the opening stages and we went in at break with 36 points on the board . Ollie getting three more and Chris Harris also crossing with Tigers sole response from Harry Potter.
As so often happens, the second half didn't produce as many points for us after Tigers git their act together. They closed the gap thanks to George Foird's boot and tries from Taufua and Henderson.
Any thoughts of a shock fightback werre quashed when Lloyd Evans touched down.
We are still eighth and eight points behind the top four. Interesting.
