New Season Looms

With the big kick off in the Gallagher Premiership just two weeks away it has been very refreshing to read the update from CEO Lance Bradley on the official website. Totally pragmatic and sensible as we head for what will be another strange season.  

So what can we expect from a Cherry and White side which starts at Welford Road on the 21st?

No big signings - to date. Although there is a hint of a couple of new players in the next week or so

 Back Row Jamie Gibson joined from Saints last week to add some experience, but there is no flashing of (hard to come by) cash and Lance makes it quite clear that youth will have its head this coming season. 

Nobody can argue with that, and it could be the club with the strongest Academy which rules the roost for the next couple of seasons.

The plans for the new training centre are on the back burner with training concentrated on Kingsholm rather than Hartpury.

And we will be offered three year fixed price season tickets in the hope of getting a cash injection. A great idea and having not spent anything on watching rugby since March there may be some people happy to part with the extra to help our club.
