Red Card
By New Cherry

Surely a string of victories is just around the corner? Once again we lost narrowly. This time despite dominating Bath for long periods when they had a numerical advantage going down 16-14 to a last ditch home penalty.

Our bad luck came as early as the eighth minute  - Val Rapava-Ruskin sent off for leading with his arm to Josh Bayliss's face as the prop anticipated a head-on challenge.

Not a horrendous offence, but one which merited Val's first ever red card. Numbers were eventually levelled up after 50 mimutes when a similar offence saw  Bath's lock Mike Williams sent off.

In between we played some good rugby forcing two quick Bath infringements  with Twelvetrees establishing a 6-0 lead. We opted for kicks, when perhaps we could have been more adventurous, specially as relegation is no longer a threat.

The first sucker punch came right on the break with Jonathan Joseph and Tom de Glanville combining  to send Faletau over, with Priestland  giving  Bath an underserved 7-6 half-time lead.

The hosts picked their game up in the second half with Priestland landing a couple of penalties.

Twelvetrees pulled one back and we looked to have finally earned a victory when  Louis Rees-Zammit ran across the 22 to put Chris Harris into space. He sent in skipper Ludlow in the corner.

The tricky conversion across the wind was missed - 14-13 to Gloucs with four minutes left. That was just enough time for Bath to deliver our customary sickening blow with that Priestland pen.
