Friday Feast

Wonder how many sports minded people are being turned onto rugby during then lockdown? With nothing else to do or watch (with the exception of Bairstow and Stokes) rugby union has stepped up to the plate with some thrilling games - despite the lack of crowds. On Friday night two West Country sides served up an excellent aperitif for the Six Nations decider in Paris.

Both sides had plenty of very young faces in them and, no doubt, many will credit our 34-18 win to the fact that Chiefs blooded four young braves.

No matter - rugby union was the winner as both sides attacked throughout -  providing some superb running rugby from the likes of Rees-Zammit in the second half and Chief's Josh Hodge throughout.

Great tries, commitment, sportsmanship and very well reffed by Luke Pearce.

For the record hooker Henry Walker (pictured) scored twice for Gloucs in the first with Hodge getting a superb solo try for Chiefs before Don Armand's close range try gave them a 15-14 lead at the interval.

We stepped up second half with Charlie Chapman giving us the lead and a bonus point coming at the end courtesy of a penalty try. The question now is can Barton keep his superb goal kicking record going?
