For nearly an hour Gloucs played against a 14-man Sale but all we had to show for our efforts was a losing bonus point.

We did fight back to 22-22 all but a late AJ McGinty penalty clinched a 25-22 win for the home side.

Sale lost Rob du Preez when the stand-off dumped Val Rapava-Ruskin on his head after 22 minutes. That should have been the cue for Gloucs to take control but it was Sale who went in to a 22-8 lead in the second half.

We finally got some decent possession with Santiago Carreras and Willi Heinz going over to level the scores.The TV official ruled out another when he judged that Tom Curry had been illegally stopped at a ruck and the stage was set for that winning kick. 

Our luck will turn.
