Not What We Wanted
Not happy

It was a scruffy start to the season with both Gloucs and Saints making many understandable errors - ring rusty indeed. Unfortunately, the home side managed to get their act together for a period in the second half when they scored the decisive tries to take a 34-20 win.
They were greatly helped by indiscipline from the Cherry and Whites, which coach Skivington admitted was major issue.
Two yellow cards plus a dozen or so penalties and four lost lineouts in the first half alone speaks for itself. Fortunately, these are things which can be worked on.
It was remarkable that Gloucs only went in 10-5 down at the break - George Furbank went for Northampton before Ollie Thorley replied after 26 minutes.
We were down to 14 again with Jack Clement in the bin and this time Saints scored through James Grayson and Nic Auterac .
Gloucs fought back with tries from Jordy Reid and Jonny May before Saints' Tom Wood went over at the end to get his side a bonus point.
We are at home to Tigers on Friday night.
