Up To Fourth

Thanks goodness the storm abated and the Falcons game was able to go ahead four hours late. As a result we took the five points which draws us level with Sarries ....  and we witnessed one of the tries of the season courtesy of Louis Rees-Zammit.

It didn't look that windy on TV until the kickers struggled from even in front of the posts. So credit to both teams for toughing it out and providing some good running rugby with Gloucs full value for the 32-22 win.

Val Rapava-Ruskin got us going before that othr speed machine, Adam Radwan, got one back for Falcons. We eased into a half time  20-8 lead thanks to Santiago Carreras and Lewis Ludlow.

Mateo Carreras crossed to reduce the Gloucester lead before "Rugby's Ronaldo" - complete with slicked back hair and tanned thighs - came off the bench.

Ollier Thorley got our bonus point before Falcons made the mistake of kicking straight to Louis who was on his own 22. He cruised through the home defence picking up pace as he went to score a try which must have the other five Six Nations teams worried.

George Skivington told the media: "The way we came out in these conditions and managed to deliver was outstanding as a group.

"We've dealt with lots of adversity and lots of bits and pieces last year and the boys stood strong, and we stood strong to what we believed would be successful in the long run, and we're starting to see bits of that now.

"We're not absolutely there yet by any means but this is another step. You come somewhere really hard, you have some adversity in the background and you get challenged on a few bits and pieces."
