Exeter played the elements and denied Gloucs possession as they triumphed 24-15 at Sandy Park. However, we are still third and looking forward to a deserved rest next weekend..
The strength of the wind is reflected in the fact that we scored three tries through the "Three C's" - Clarke, Carreras and Chapman but we couldn't nail a single conversion.
We got off to a great start with Freddie Clarke crossing only for Jack Innard to level. It was tight but Exeter took advatage of Billy Twelvetrees being in the sin-bin with Patrick Schickerling's scoring followd by Olly Woodburn and Tom O'Flaherty.
It was our turn to take advantage of a yellow for Dafydd Jenkins with Santiago Carreras and Charlie Chapman's tries giving us some hope. However, it was not to be.
George Skivington told the media: "I think we probably made a few poor decisions, particularly in the first half, that put ourselves under massive pressure. I think we had four minutes of possession in that whole first half so I think that was a fair reflection of the game."
