Billy Twelvetrees won't remember his 250th appearance for Gloucs with as much pleasure as he would have hoped. Wasps took the game 27-21 and denied Billy and his teammates with a last minute line-out steal which robbed him of a fitting winning finale.
His side did lead 6-0 at half time but let a few more scores on the pitch.They paid the price as the visitors scored three tries before Gloucs girded their loins and pulled back.
It was 21-21 courtesy of a Kyle Moyle try and a penalty try courtesy of the Cherry and Whites' driving maul.
Dan Robson gave his side the lead again wityh a drop goal followed by a Jimmy Gopperth penalty so Gloucs needed a converted try to take the game. Another rfriving maul was on the cards with that 5-metre line-out. Groans all round when the throw was stolen and the ball despatched.
Gloucs have a game in hand on most sides so a rousing end of the seaon may yet yield some joy. Before that we have the Euro Challenge Cup at Dragons this week and the Peremiership Cup semi at Kingsholm against Wuss which will be on Wednesday April 27th .
