Countdown Underway

If you are going to shake off the cobwebs there can be no better place to go than Munster.  The scorching summer may still be giving us sleepless nights but rugby is on the horizon with the Friday night trip across the Irish Sea next week.

The intensiry is being stepped up as the league opener at home to Wasps on Sunday Septenber 11th now seems so much closer.

It will bring the curtain down on a summer where all thoughts have been with Ed Slater after his motor neurone disease dianosis and his tremendous three day epic bike ride with teammates, which is still raising a six figure sum for research into the disease.

Ed will continue to inspire his tammmates from the sidelines and he will as delighted as anyone to see Jake Polledri back in action after his two year battle with injury.

So far its been a quiet summer in terms of recruitment although an announcement on a signing of Zach Merer is eagerly  being disussed amojng the faithful.

The fomer Bath No 8 is said to have been told by Eddie Jones that, if he returns to rugby in England from Montpellier, it will greatly improve his chances of a World cup place.

What an addition he would be.
