Comeback Kings

After a truly dreadful first half Gloucester scored an unanswered 27 points to light up an understandably sombre occasion beating Wasps 27-21.

Wasps couldn't do anything wrong in the first half against a Cherry and Whites who had barely left the dressing room. They racked up 21 points and could, in truth, have had more.

That all changed after the break. Was it the bollocking they got in the dressing room or a touch of Louis Rees-Zammit magic which did the trick?

Wasps were on the attack and looked like they were going to add to their total but messed up. Louis seized his chance to run almost the length of the field to  touch down by the left corner flag (pictured).

Everything suddenly changed. It was Wasps making mistakes and looking at the floor .

They lost  Tom Willis who was yellow-carded for collapsing a maul then   Biyi Alo followed  for stopping a certain Gloucester try. Penalty try instead and the gap was closing

Anxious moments after Freddie Clarke was covered by desperate Wasp bodies as he went over the line. The Ref said he saw hands under the ball but the TMO said that was after the ball was fairly grounded.

Gloucs six points ahead as we entered the final minutes with Wasps desperate to recover their lead. Sterling defence kept them out.

It's going to be another of those seasons.
