The Cherry and Whites have the perfect opportunity to "put things right" with a trip to Tigers on Christmas Eve wherre the home club will be trying to adjust to life without new England coach Sreve Borthwick.

Realistically nobody expeted a young side to come back with much from a European Championship trip to Dublin. However, coming back having been "nilled" was hard to bear.

Gloucs started well but the attack was static with too many receivers being set up for the home defence,  and when Leinster got going  they had little problem in scoring their own 57 points.

Gloucs weren't helped by an early head injury to George Barton who will be missing for a few weeks, and there may be a start at Tigers for George McGuigan with the news that Fraser Balmain is likely to be out for the rest of the season.

If the Leinster game wasn't a "target game" then surely Tigers must be.

It is the first match competing for the Slater Cup , to raise funds and awareness of MND , safe travels to Glaws fans visiting Welford Road, despite the train strike.
